In previous correspondence to the TC-II members, we mentioned that we would call a General Forum for the TC-II at the AINA 2010 conference in Perth. This is now being brought forward to the more appropriate conference and will be held at the IEEE-DEST 2010 conference in Dubai which is scheduled to run between 12-15 April 2010. I hope that you will be all able to attend to help us shape the future directions of industrial informatics research. CFP is attached, and you are also invited to give tutorial, workshop or panel sessions.

In addition, at the recent IES AdCom meeting, Elizabeth Chang submitted proposals for the next two IEEE-DEST conferences in the series being DEST 2011 in Daejeon, South Korea and DEST 2012 in Guilin, China. the DEST 2012 conference will be in KL, Malaysia and DEST 2013 conference will be in Guilin China.

A report on all other activities was submitted and approved.

TC-II Chair was Professor Tharam Dillon, who has been step down after 3 years of operation. Professor Chang, DEBII, Curtin University and Professor Damiani, Milan was vice-chair.
From 2010, TC-II Chair is now confirmed at last Adcom meeting, that Professor Chang will be the Chair, and Professor Damiani, Uni. Milan, Dr Armango Colombo and Prof Yousef Ibrahim will be vice-chairs.

The New TC-II committee has the responsibility of uniquely separating Industrial Informatics from Industrial Electronics and to help shape the future of the ‘Transactions on II (TII)’ and continue strengthen "Transactions on IE (TIE)" which, as is part of the TC-II, we are to look after in existing and new special sessions on TIE and TII, and IEEE IES core sponsored conferences , co-sponsored conference, IES small conferences, , workshops, and tracks on II (Industrial Informatics). As a new TC-II committee, we are to define the new research direction for industrial informatics over the next 5 to 10 years and to help IEEE lead the world in this field through our leadership.

Let welcome three eminent world class researchers have taken up the role of Vice-Chairs for the TC-II from 2010 onward:

       Professor Ernesto Damiani
       A.Professor Yousef Ibrahim
